I started my Martial arts journey at Goulburn Martial arts Academy 5 years ago. I started so I could do a sport with my daughters and seeing there faces light up each and every lesson to be able to do something with me. I saw there confidence grow through the years of training from being shy and reserved to going up the front of class doing demonstrations and gradings. There is no better place to train in Goulburn everyone in club so friendly even if you are just passing through or come every week it's like 1 big family. See you on the mats

I first walked into Goulburn Martial Arts Academy when I was 14. I had partially suffered from bullying but was also always curious and interested in martial arts. Instructor Craig Harmer assisted in me growing not only as a martial artist but into a man. Over the past 5 years I have accomplished numerous titles and belts over the 4 martial arts we teach at GMMA. But that isn't the important thing about my time at GMAA. The most important thing is the friendly and family like environment that we have, I have been multiple friends for life through our gym. Competitions for me weren't about just "fighting" but mainly about testing and pushing my self. My whole life I have played different sports and martial arts to me was the most complex, difficult and dangerous in some ways, this intrigued me. Through competing I have had the chance to travel parts of the world at a young age, when I was 17 I traveled to China and Hong Kong by myself to represent my country at the Taekwondo World championships. And I have also been to Ireland twice to train at one of MMA's best gyms in the world. If I never joined GMAA I would never have had the opportunity to do these things. Martial arts helped me mature and morph into a better young adult, gave me a greater perspective on life and helped me find a passion for helping others through teaching. I urge and sincerely recommend people to come try out a program at GMAA, it has defiantly changed my life for the better.
