Character building

This week we spoke about bullying. It is far too common a thing that takes place everyday at every school around the world. Kids can't escape it when it is happening and as parents we feel hopeless when it happens to our child. Whilst having a discussion to the kids this week about bullying we covered what bullying was and how we could address it. During the discussion one of the kids said that happens to me every day.  I hope that this week is different for that child. To deal with the bully is one thing, schools and other parents can be very difficult. The best gift we can give our child is to make them physically and emotionally resilient.. Resilient people have been through testing times. We have to get our kids through these testing times. Love them. Let them know that you are  in their corner. Discuss the matter with the school principle and other parents involved.  Move schools if you have to. But let them know you won't rest until they are safe. I want all my students to  know I am in their corner. even they decide to leave. I am still here trying to help. Martial arts offers  a way of overcoming hard tasks and these lessons should be taken to help deal with life problems. Like grading or testing times at the end we feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when we have come through it. We just need to keep going. Everyday is a new day. Things change. I hope we helped some people this week. I want you to enjoy your life to the fullest.
